What's New
The $450-million expansion of The Peabody Orlando is fully underway and is on schedule for completion in Fall 2010. When finished, the hotel will feature over 250,000 square feet of flexible function space, over 99 meeting rooms, a new 22,000-square-foot Peabody Spa & Athletic Club, 13 unique and delectable entertainment options including a new Coffee bar, new Napa Valley wine-themed restaurant and bar with patios overlooking a new 3 acre lushly landscaped recreation area with free-formed zero-entry pools surrounded by cabanas with cascading waterfalls, new restaurants in the convention area and pool cabana area, and a new Peabody Parking Garage for 2,100 cars.
Meeting Facilities and Services
The Peabody Orlando’s new meeting space offers state-of-the-art telecommunications
technology, audiovisual, production and business support services, as well as outstanding banquet and catering services, leaving nothing to be desired for today’s professional meeting planner. At the completion of the expansion, The Peabody Orlando will have over 340,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and entertainment space, 200,000 square feet on one floor, including the pillar-free 54,652-square-foot Peabody Grand Ballroom, the 34,378-square-foot Windermere Ballroom, the 26,923-square-foot Plaza International Ballroom and two junior ballrooms.
Location
Located in the Heart of the I-Drive Convention and Entertainment District across from Pointe Orlando’s dining and nightlife, two covered moving sky bridges connect The Peabody to the exhibition and meeting space of the Orange County Convention Center. Additionally, The Peabody Orlando is central to all of the city’s theme park destinations, restaurants, premiere shopping outlets and specialty shops, cultural arts, and the Orlando International Airport.
Accommodations
Guests will enjoy a list of new amenities with the Fall 2010 expansion, including a total of 1,641 ultra-luxurious guest rooms, including 193 suites including 5 Penthouse suites with over 2,000 square feet of parlor space. Guest room features will include the Peabody Dream Bed®; high definition 42” LCD televisions, mini LCD TV’s in the bathroom mirrors, complimentary in-room refrigerator, two dual-line cordless telephones and Wi-Fi Internet access.
